Chilling on the Laptop

I took this photo from my laptop.  Or notebook, whatever you prefer to call it.  It's a Mac.  That's what's important.  So you can picture me sitting on the couch with the laptop on the coffee table, and Daniel grabbed his little Fisher-Price Laptop, (which by the way enabled him to identify the names, shapes and sounds of all 26 letters before he was 2)  Fun little bonding moment.

But it serves as a reminder how much kids mimic adults, especially their parents, but my boy spent one day hanging out with a kid who says "yea" instead of "yes" and now 2 years worth of good manners is out the window.   We are ALL influencers!  People, children especially, watch how we act around the house, in public, family, friend or stranger, and often adopt that behavior to make it their own.  Frankly, I don't want my boys to think of a laptop when they think of Daddy.  :)

So I'm going to log off, and read some of the Word.  Because I need to be influenced by those thoughts, truths and actions, and let my boys see me doing so.

Have a great weekend!

"We never touch people so lightly that we do not leave a trace" I truly believe that quote.

On a completely different note...

Guess what?! I met Jeremy Camp today and I told him that you introduced me to his music (which is technically true bc I checked him out when I saw a pic of the both of you on your myspace) and He said "awesome"

also....

When I met Brandon Heath I told him you introduced me to his music (bc I didn't check him out until he went on tour with you) and he said "I love him. He's a great guy!"

=)

Just thought I'd let you know!

What part of PA are you in? Speaking of PA, I found out that BBC (Baptist Bible College) won't be doing a concert this spring due to enrollment being down b/c of the economy. :-(.You could still come to northeastern PA and do a concert sometime though, that woud be fine with me! haha. Enjoy PA in all it's snowy and icy glory!

There is nothing more beautiful than the pure white of a winter wonderland! Living outside Chicago - something I'm use to, don't like driving in it, but what beauty God shows us in the glittering snow.

Drive careful!

Hey thanks for the fisher price laptop idea, my grand daughter is one now and is always trying to reach over grama'a arm and hit the keys. I figure if I get her one for herself we can compute together. Going to look for one online now.. And yes I spend way less time on the net or on my computer when she is around. Quality Time with God and Her are Most important!! God Bless your Beautiful Family!!!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU for bringing back the song "My Savior". I grew up singing this song ("I am not skilled to understand...different tune, obviously), but your tune and added "My Savior" refrain have really made the song new and fresh. I love when my radio is playing it as I wake in the morning... which is often. This morning I woke wanting to thank you for revitalizing the song... this is the only way I know to do so...

I love this picture of Daniel, he looks so proud!

I was wondering which bridge you meant, assuming it was crossing the New in WV since you were in Pgh. Uhhh, I do hate that one still!

Hope your voice returns soon!
